Most people ask us two things first — how much and how long does it take? Fair questions. But the reason people send a neighbour our way, or come back for the next room, is usually that the blinds actually fit. Not almost fit. Fit. Because we measured it ourselves.
Aspire Blinds has been supplying and installing roller blinds in Qatar since 2012. Homes, villas, offices, clinics. Same process every time — we come out, measure every window, fabricate to that size, and install on a date that works for you.

Manual costs less. You pull a chain, and the blind goes up or down. It works fine, and
most manual blinds we fitted five years ago haven't needed a repair call. Motorised
costs more upfront. No chain to pull, no reaching across furniture. You press a button
or set a schedule and forget about it.
We get a steady stream of people who started with manual and came back to upgrade a year or two later — not because manual broke, but just because they got tired of the chain every morning. If the price difference is the question, it usually comes down to how many windows you're doing. For one or two rooms, a manual makes sense. A full villa or office fit-out, motorised, pays for itself in convenience.
Runs on a tubular motor, controlled by a remote or wall switch. No chain, no pulling. Motor type options below — see the OMA section further down the page for full specs.
Manual pull chain. Simple, nothing to plug in, nothing to programme. The most common system we fit for single rooms where running cable to the window isn't practical.
Same as the ball chain system, but with a casing that hides the roller tube at the top of the window. Cleaner finish, particularly on larger windows where the mechanism would otherwise be visible.
The fabric decides what the blind actually does for a room. The system is just how you operate it.
Blocks light completely. No soft glow around the edges, no early-morning brightness if you've fitted it right. Bedrooms are the obvious use, but we also fit these in home theatres and rooms that face west and get direct afternoon sun.
Bedroom · Home theatre · West-facingFilters heat and glare while letting soft daylight through. You can still see outside, though the view softens. Good for living rooms and offices where you want the light without the heat. In a Doha summer, a decent sunscreen blind makes a real difference to what your AC has to do.
Living room · Office · South-facingAlternating sheer and solid stripes across the fabric. Adjust the blind position to line up sheer with sheer for filtered light, or solid with solid for full privacy. Rooms where you need both depending on the time of day — this is usually the answer.
Any room · All-day flexibilityNatural materials, a warmer look. The texture breaks up a room differently than synthetic fabric. Worth considering for a study, a living room corner, or anywhere you want something that doesn't look like it came from a catalogue.
Study · Living room · Natural finishGetting the Fit Right A blind that's two centimetres too narrow lets light bleed in
around both edges. Too wide and it catches the frame when it rolls up. Standard sizes
exist because they're cheaper to produce, not because windows come in standard sizes.
We measure every window before anything gets cut. The visit is free. If your windows
are an awkward shape, or you've got a bay window or a curved corner, tell us when
you call — we'll advise before we come out.
Some rooms work better with a roller blind and a curtain together. The blind handles daytime heat and privacy. The curtain softens the look when the blind is up and adds a second layer at night without needing blackout fabric on the blind itself. We fit both fairly regularly—usually bigger living rooms in villas or apartments where the window is large enough that one layer doesn't cover everything the way the client wants it to
Setting the stopping point on most motorised blinds means using a screwdriver and reading a manual. Ours doesn't. Hold the yellow switch until the blind reaches where you want it and let go — that's the new limit. No tools, no installer needed to reset it later.

How the Blind System WorksEvery roller blind we fit runs on a chain-operated wrap-spring clutch. Stop it at any height and it stays there — no slow creep back down over time. The clutch is nylon construction, available in black or white to match your chain, and mounts at either end of the roller tube. Once it's installed, it doesn't need readjusting. The operating chain is either a #10 plastic bead chain or a #10 plated steel ball chain, with upper and lower stops. Chain colour matches the clutch. |
We stock the parts that keep your blinds running long-term – end caps, bottom bars, clutch mechanisms, chain weights, and both bead chain and steel ball chain in colours that match your system. If a part wears out after a few years of daily use, you don't need a full replacement — call us and we'll sort the part.
Window Shade System shall be a chain operated roller system utilizing a bidirectional, wrap spring clutch. The system must be apable of smoothly raising and lowering the blind to any desired height, and maintaining that height with no slippage. Clutc size is adjusted based on the weight of fabric. Clutch must not require any adjustment after installation. Clutch may be mounted in either end of the roller tube. The clutch shall be nylon construction and available in Black or White. . Operating loop may be #10 plastic bead chain or qualified #10 plated steel ball chain, with upper and lower stops. Plastic chain shall coordinate with the clutch color
Unlike conventional tubular motors, Oma’s mechanical type’s motor does not require any tools for position setting. No screw drivers or Alan keys are needed to setup the motors stopping point. This is our product high light. Just simply hold the yellow switch to set a limit. (pictured below) .

Heat control, light control, and privacy — with almost no stack depth when rolled up. In Qatar, the main practical benefit is cutting solar heat gain through glass, which reduces how hard the AC runs in summer.
Blackout fabric gives complete privacy at any time of day. Sunscreen fabric lets you see outside while making it harder for people outside to see in during daylight hours. At night with lights on inside, that reverses, so if night-time privacy matters, blackout is the better choice.
Yes. Sunscreen blinds cut the amount of solar heat that gets through the glass. In a Doha summer that's a meaningful reduction — a well-fitted sunscreen blind on a west-facing window takes a real load off the AC.
Most rooms, yes. Bathrooms need moisture-resistant fabric — standard fabrics can develop mould in high-humidity rooms. We'll advise on the right material when we come to measure.
Wipe down with a lightly damp cloth. Most fabrics don't need anything stronger. Wooden and bamboo blinds need slightly more care — avoid soaking them, and keep them away from direct water.
Either a pull chain (ball chain system) or a motor controlled by a remote or wall switch. Motorised blinds can also be set on a timer or integrated with a smart home system.
Every blind we make is cut to your window's exact measurement. We don't stock standard sizes — we measure on-site and fabricate from that.
